What Matters Before You Choose a Recycled Plastic RV Rug
Key buying criteria so you get the right fit the first time.
Recycled content claim
Some plastic rugs are polypropylene made from new material, while others use recycled plastic tubes. The difference matters if reducing new plastic is your goal. Look for 100% recycled in the listing.
Third-party certification
GoodWeave certification means the producer is audited against child labor. A named certification is a stronger signal than a general eco-friendly claim. Check the listing for the certification name.
Fold or roll storage
Rolled rugs avoid creases but need long storage space, while folded rugs pack small. Fold lines can show over time on stiff material. Pick based on your RV compartment shape.
Corner loops for stakes
A large lightweight rug can lift in wind. Corner loops let you stake it down. Look for loops in the feature list.
Size for the awning
A 9x18 covers a full awning while 5x8 covers a small zone. Bigger sizes cost more. Match the listed size to the ground you need covered.
